Due to structural deformations, significant vertical and lateral relative movements occur in bridge transition areas. For slab tracks to elastically absorb these deformations and loads we developed the BSP bridge support point. A solution which, combined with the standard features of rail fastening systems for slab tracks, also meets increased demands when it comes to lift-off forces and lateral misalignments.
An essential part of efficient, state-of-the-art track technology is the secure and elastic clamping of the running rail. For over 30 years now Schwihag’s IBSR and IBRR inner bracing systems for stock rails have set the standard in this field. The forged tension clamp, able to meet the highest requirements in tensioning force and fatigue strength, is the key component.

In the past, a great deal of time and money had to be spent on lubricating slide chairs to ensure a secure end position of the switch rail. Now, thanks to our innovative Spring Roller Device (SRD) in combination with molybdenum-coated slide chair and sliding bracket plates, we have successfully developed a lubrication-free switch – an economically and ecologically sustainable solution. The system can be used as an integral component in all IBSR plate ranges.
Routing rails and check rails often suffer from strong wear. Changing and adjusting these profiles for local conditions costs a great deal of time, work and money.
On-site drilling of the profile is no longer necessary thanks to our boltless check rail fixing. This solution saves our customers significant assembly time in contrast to conventional systems.
Safely and professionally crossing tracks with power, signal and fluid lines poses great challenges to many rail operators.
Based on the cross sleeper track, a solution has been developed with the cable pit sleeper. This is suitable for holding any cables or lines for liquid or gaseous substances and does not hinder the machine processing of the ballasted track. The sleeper can also accommodate vehicle monitoring systems, such as systems for detecting hot boxes or jammed axles.
Mechanical stresses and environmental influences such as UV radiation, moisture and salt have a significant impact on the life span of track and switch components.
The NiroTec® galvanic surface coating from Schwihag is a highly anti-corrosive surface coating to protect the metal components of superstructures. Strong adhesive properties and a cathodic distance action make the NiroTec® coating particularly suitable for dynamically stressed parts and components.
